Marlboro, NJ (August 8, 2023) – Lyndsee Hoffman, an Honor Student at Morganville High School, was suspended for the first three days of classes for not properly decorating her Jeep Wrangler to indicate that she was overly excited to finally be entering her senior year. While dozens of fluorescently adorned Wranglers, Cherokees, and even some Pioneer and Liberty models drove proudly through the senior lot, Hoffman’s 2019 black four-door had nary a decoration outside of the James Madison University sticker on the back window in reference to where her sister is currently attending college.
After explaining to Principal John Wallace that she was performing non-court-ordered community service in the days and weeks leading up to the start of school, Hoffman was handed down a sentence of two days for not having “2024” or “Senior” painted on her car and a third day for not positing a picture on social media showing her and her friend group either standing on the seats of the uncovered Jeep, sitting on the hood, hanging off the side to be able to showcase the artwork in its entirety.
“Lyndsee is lucky, frankly, to only get three days of at home suspension. It could have been worse,” mentioned Principal Wallace, “Lucky for her that her mom posted a pic on Facebook of her behind the wheel with the caption ‘Senior Year. How the heck did this happen?’ She doesn’t post that, you’re looking at two or three more days.”
Sources close to Ms. Hoffman stated that the Ivy League hopeful will use her time away from school to continue her volunteer work at the pediatric cancer center at her local hospital and will continue her crusade focusing on providing underprivileged students free lunches and school supplies through her personal charity “Hoffman’s Heroes”.
